What is Divingusto?
It is a festival entirely dedicated to top quality wines and specialty foods from Puglia and more.  It will be held in Ceglie Messapica (BR) on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th July 2010.
During these two days, the historical town centre of Ceglie Messapica will be the stage of many important events  to celebrate good food and wine: food and wine tastings, cooking demos  by international chefs, live concerts, photo exhibitions, cooking workshops in English for adults, and sector devoted to the Traditional Cuisine,  Arts and Crafts of Puglia, as well as a sector  for books on wine and cooking.

Where is  Ceglie Messapica?
Ceglie Messapica, renowned as “ a town of art, famous for its  food and wine tradition” is situated in the province of Brindisi, in an area known as Upper Salento.
This small town is an ideal place for a relaxing vacation. It is  just a few kilometres away from famous tourist destinations  like Alberobello, Ostuni, Martina Franca and Cisternino, not to mention the magical Salento  famous for its art and architecture but also for its folk dance, “la Pizzica”.

If you are not interested in the tastings held by the firms taking part in the Divingusto Festival, you might head for the sector of “The Traditional Cooking  of Puglia” where you will find lots of typically Apulian dishes, cooked right there before you.

Do I need to get a ticket to get into the Divingusto Festival?
No, entrance is free.
To sample the products or what is prepared at the Tastings,  you need  to buy a book of coupons for the tastings (the cost shall be made known soon).
The specialties in the sector  of “The Traditional Cooking of Puglia” are at visitors’ charge and are not included in the book of coupons for the tastings.
The shows, concerts, cooking demos and the sector  devoted to Traditional  Arts and Crafts  as well as the sector  with books on food and wine are all free of charge.
